Millennium Hotel to close in January : Business

...I hope that building or site gets put to good use soon. I'd hate to see it languish empty for years in that high visibility spot downtown.

I stayed there once. Every single employee was on their phone all the time, talking or texting. It would have been a great candidate for "Hotel Impossible".

I've heard it's a horrible hotel. It'd be a great spot for a W (*fingers crossed*).

Not surprising. I haven't heard a single good thing about the hotel. I went to a charity event there and the food was blah. Still, no good for everyone who will lose their job.

The Millenium has changed hands numerous times since it was built. I'm sure somebody else will take over, it will be interesting to see which franchise will.

Actually, I was there with part of a group in Oct 2013. It was apparent that there was some neglect to the hotel as it aged. The south tower was 'closed for renovation'. The staff was actually quite friendly - but this could be due to the fact that we were here with a very large group.

I too am sad to see it close. I hope that it is updated and reopened soon.

Not surprised

Attended a conference there last year - first time I had been inside in about 10 years - It looked sad, updating will cost a lot - would like to see the site enhanced - it is pretty hostile at street level

Has anyone ever dined at the revolving restaurant up top there? I have to been to a different revolving restaurant before (the one in Covington KY overlooking downtown Cincinnati) a couple of times and really enjoyed it, but the comments here lead me to believe this could be a depressing experience.

I have dined there twice, once for brunch and once for dinner. I enjoyed it. The last time I was there was probably at least three years ago.

I haven't, but I've heard it's not too bad. I'm sure that whoever takes over the property will keep the revolving restaurant going.
