Hi there! My name's Sean! I'm 32 years old, and I've got autism. I live in St. Clair, Missouri with my grandma (my grandpa passed away 2 years ago, and he was a huge St. Louis Cardinals fan!), and even though I didn't become a St. Louis Cardinals fan until 2011 when they won the 2011 World Series against the Texas Rangers (like with David Freese's walk-off home run in Game 6 of the 2011 World Series between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Texas Rangers), and even though I wasn't born until 1991, but since 1982 is my favorite earliest year, and since Friday, January 1, 1982 is my favorite earliest date, what memories do you have from all 7 games of the 1982 World Series between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Milwaukee Brewers, with manager Whitey Herzog, and players like Ozzie Smith, Willie McGee, Bruce Sutter, Darrell Porter, Joaquin Andujar, Tommy Herr, Keith Hernandez, Ken Oberkfell, etc.

Thanks!
Sean

Hi Sean,

I was young at the time but I also have fond memories of that team. I would add Lonnie Smith and George Hendrick as two other good players that made a difference.

They were a fast team with timely hitting. I remember thinking uh oh after the first game which Milwaukee won in lopsided fashion. But the Cards returned the favor in game 6 with a big blow out win in the rain in game 6. John Stuper pitched that one.

And Willie McGee had the famous game on the road on both offense and defense.

Interestingly enough Sean, I lived in Milwaukee for a little while later in life too. Many of their fans remember that series too.

Good luck to you.
