I'm going to St. Louis tomorrow. I've been googling dog parks and all I've found are private parks that require $50-$80 membership fees and no day passes. I'm only going to be there for a day and a half and just want to find a safe fenced area to let my dog run a while after a long day cooped up in the car and hotel. With all the dog parks in St. Louis, I didn't think this would be a problem. Is there such a thing as a free dog park in St. Louis, or one that sells day passes? We're actually staying "down the road" in Caseyville IL, so if anyone knows of a place around Caseyville, Collinsville or that section of St. Louis, that would be great!

I believe still has a free dog park. That's the only one I'm aware of.

sorry

I believe there's a fenced in run area on the west side of Carondolet Park off Loughburrough.

This is what I found on their facebook site: Dog park membership is affordable! The annual donation for your first dog is $45 and each additional dog is $15. This donation goes toward park maintenance and improvements. All dogs must be current on vaccinations and owners must show proof annually.

They call it donation, but it is acually a fee. A donation is a gift and now gift should be "forced". But still, its o.k. when you live here, I guess. And I live here in St. Louis now since 3 weeks. It is great, but the dog parks aren't.

As stated, i'm pretty sure St. Charles' dog park is free...it's right off the riverfront, and 3rd street...very close to I-370.

i know this is too late for the op but here goes:

there are 2 free dog parks in St. Charles County .... go to the st. charles county parks department website for more information..... the one that is off of winghaven / hwy d is AWESOME.... good sized, has some trees, a pond for swimming, has a nice shelter and benches, nice human restrooms.... the other is more in lake st. louis area.... also fair sized, but not as many trees, no pond....

there is a free dog park at the rear of arnold city park in arnold, mo .... it is small and overused, but better than nothing..... most of the time.... there is another one off of old lemay ferry road (big bill road??) in arnold .... in ferd something park.... also small, but not sure if as over-used as the one in arnold city park....

i don't know that any of the other dog parks in the metro area are free.... .... which is a real shame.....
