Default Pretty Snow!

Has everyone seen the pretty first snow? I had to drive home in it last night. It was a rain/snow mix all the way from Kansas City! Now that I'm safe at home it is pretty to look at!

It was a good snow in that it didn't stick to the streets, yet the kids could make snowballs

I have a feeling that the answer is "no." What do you have to do to get ready for winter in this area?

So far nothing has accumulated. But it is snowing. Supposed to get possibly up to half an inch by the end of noon tomorrow. The temperature hasn't gotten low enough for accumulation, but sooner or later the ground will turn white.

Make sure you have a couple of scrapers for your car, a good sturdy shovel and some salt. Get out your boots and heavy coat, and make sure you have some emergency supplies just in case of a big storm like water and food (believe me, you won't want to have to deal with a packed store the night before "the big one") You probably won't need the supplies, but if you ever do, you'll sure be glad ya have 'em.
