My sister is getting married in December and is too busy to plan everything, so she has delegated the task of finding a band to me. Does anyone know a good, reputable band in the st. louis area? It would be for the reception, so we're looking for a band that could play great versions of 60s and 70s tunes that are fun to dance to, while mixing in some more contemporary songs. Obviously I have no idea what I'm doing here, so please help me. Preferably, I'm looking for a band that has a lot of good references and a website where I can check out some of their samples.

I'm actually the opposite of that. Most have had bands. Since there are a couple of current Chicagoans in this thread....If you know someone in Chicago looking for a weddding band, I've been to many a wedding in Chicago with this particular band below, "High Society."
