Because I am moving to Tallahassee as a transfer student to FSU, the only apartment that I passed by the time I was there that looked rather nice, quiet, and affordable was Spanish Oaks located on High Rd that is only a mile away from the school.
I really would need an honest answer about that specific apartment complex (Is it located in a bad area?), and if there are any other options for a nice, quiet, and affordable 1 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom apartment a mile or few from FSU? It would be better if there would be an apartment near the bus route at least.

I heard about Escambia Place Apartments and Rumba Lane Townhomes so far from others.

I will be needing to move by late August.

Thanks!

I lived there for 3 years during law school. Great place. Older apartments but they take care of them. Its surrounded by trees and there's only one entrance, so no troublemakers wander through. Right next to winn dixie. Short commute to campus. At the time, the rates weren't bad either. I looked for several days when I first came to town.

Not the worst place you could live if you need to be near campus.

I didn't officially live there but spent some very fun nights there back in the late 1980's.

Just stay away from student housing solutions, paradigm properties, ambling properties, and ipad management.

You'd be on one of the FSU bus routes, so you wouldn't even need to drive.
