Moving from NJ to prob Palm Harbor. (Seems to have nice schools etc) this is purely internet research results. Want to live in a great school district. Will it matter where we buy a house due to school choice, and just what determines the choices we pick from etc. Used to live in CA (San Jose area) and had school choice... didn't like that due to what seemed like polarized the community into who "thought" their district was the best etc. NJ really matters where you live as far as schools go. I looked up the PH district and the schools are seem good from elementary up thru HS. (I have 4 kids aged 2 to 17) Any advice would be appreciated.

Have you looked into some of the areas in Tampa. I have a few of your NJ-mates coming town to Tampa and are looking into a couple of the neighborhoods in Tampa that are in great school districts.
What part of NJ?

Thanks for the PM!

We really like the school districts in Wesley Chapel. My son attended the A-rated Sand Pine Elementary last year, and will go to the brand new Double Branch Elem next year. I don't know much about middle and high schools in the area however, but I know they're very new.

I see from your PM that you're well acquainted with the Goddard School, being from NJ. My wife and I plan to open and operate one of their extended-day preschools in Wesley Chapel sometime around the fall of 2008. Hopefully that will bring even more of an educational mindset to the area.

The area already has many parents focused on quality education. Our new elementary school (Double Branch) had 115 parents sign up for PTA on the first night! The PTA coordinator said it was the most active parents she'd ever seen in an inaugural PTA event.
