Move to Oregon. Do you know its a LAW there that you have to have your gas pumped? You cannot do it yourself at all.

Good luck finding one, you probably won't. I live in Sarasota and we have one left. However, I usually have my husband fill the tank for me - when he does that I give him the nickname "Peter Pumper."

I'm sure that has more meaning to it than gas though haha.

I've read at several stations that if you need assistance, honk your horn. Surprised there isn't an ADA law about having stations that service people w/ handicaps.

You can honk your horn, but there has to be at least two attendants on duty. Why do you need a full-service station? Have you ever pumped gas before?

I'm pretty sure it's like that in NJ, too, which is probably why they are looking for one.

If the question is because you want and not need assistance - good luck.

If you require assistance, under the ADA you need to be reasonably accommodated - and I doubt there is a station out there that hasnt modified its operation to ensure compliance with the ADA (but if there is, let me know so I can get a claim) but then you would know that.

Jersey and Oregon are the only places you can have your gas pumped, but if you are disabled, you should be able to honk your horn for service. If not, pumping gas is not that hard. My friend lives in NJ and he wont let anyone pump his gas, an attendent supervises him while he pumps it.

You know what people from NJ say... "We dont pump our gas, we pump our fists!" (enter house music)
