Several possibilities:

Flood

Damage after hurricane

Civil uprising

Attack on McDill from afar

Yes, the hills around the Spring Lake area are amazing. About a 3rd of the county is protected land.

I like Hernando, BTW. Much of it is very nice, very pretty and it has real hills!

I decided to look up a temperature inland and the first one was Land O Lakes, which registered 33 degrees:

Land O' Lakes February Weather 2013 - AccuWeather Forecast for FL 34639

I would think based on that, some areas most likely were at least one degree colder......freezing.

Pretty good call on the part of the weather forecasters here in Tampa Bay.

Exclamation Argh

WFLA 8 is saying another very cold front will be headed this way and by the weekend they say we may have yet another freeze.

Quite a shock after the last two beautiful days in the 80's and nice comfortable higher humidity (dew point).

Just depends on the upper levels and how far south the jet will dig.

I don't see anything really cold at this time for next weekend. We got down to 29 in Tampa on March 3rd 1980 so anything can still happen.
