30???? You are only 30???? How did you become almost as wise as me at only 30????
I've had a decent education, study and participation in politics, and was raised by a very wise, heavily military influenced family. I've also had the opportunity to visit many parts of the country, learn different cultures and ways of life, as well as living in various places.

People love to think that I hate Florida, but that's truly not the case! I love Florida, it's my home, but I do NOT love the politics, I do not love the economic conditions that the state tends to lean on, such as leaning on tourism and pensioners, and I don't love the nanny/police state that it's become. I could live with the massive amounts of people from other places, I just feel that if the state would fix its problems and dependencies on the pensions from the north as well as their tourism dollars, that so many natives wouldn't leave and would continue to thrive within their home state.

I love the politics in Texas, I love the strong economies that are built on actual business and not trends and whims of people with money in other places, and I love the freedoms that the state allows people to enjoy. Is this my dream place to live? certainly not! If I had a perfect place to live, it would have the politics of Texas, the sunshine of Florida, and the topography of Oregon!

Unfortunately, that place doesn't exist.

You're just sayin' is extremely wrong, lol, I haven't seen the rankings lately, and I believe AZ ranks near the same, if not higher than TX, but Florida is WAY down the list, in the mid to late 20's, IIRC. I'm sure someone will look up the numbers, lol..

Florida doesn't require annual automotive safety inspections or emissions testing.

Ew, gross.

Indoor smoking should be outlawed in all establishments except bars, strip clubs, and casinos: places where minors are prohibited from entering.

Your personal opinion aside, it's a freedom that's been taken away from Florida's smokers.

It's freedom taken from the BUSINESS OWNER as well..you have government dictating what they CAN and CANNOT do in their OWN PERSONAL place of business.

Even most smart/freedom seeking NON smoker has said that. It was a HUGE downward spiral towards intrusion.

That should have NEVER EVER passed.

Yeah, I doubt superficiality is nearly as ingrained in the culture of Atlanta as it is in South Florida.

I'd say it's quite comparable.
