Hi. I wondered if there are any decent villa homes in the Tampa Bay area. Would consider areas such as Tamp, Largo, Seminole, Clearwater. Reasonably priced, under 100,000.00 Looking for a 2bedroom 2bath; preferably in a 55+ community, but would consider all ages depending on how it is run; amenities, cleanliness, etc. Thanks in advance

what's the difference between a "villa" and a "condo"?

A villa is a single family home where the yard is maintained by the community. Also the entire outside is for the HOA/CDD to be taken care of. Many 55+ communities are villas, but most are more expensive than what the OP is looking for unless the sqft. is very small.

A condo is similar to an apartment.

Check out Sun City Center - they have houses, condos/villas of all shapes and sizes (and prices). It's a little south of Tampa (20 miles), but might suit what you need. Kings Point, across the street from SCC, has higher HOA fee, but also has duplexes (villas?) that are very nice - and a variety of styles. Well maintained neighborhoods in my opinion with a lot of support/resources to assist you as you get older (ie shuttle bus transportation to hospitals, groceries, Walmart, Malls, etc).

you'd be surprised what's available in Sun City - recommend you stop by the 21st Century Real Estate agency located on Sun City Center BLVD and have one of them show you a few homes in your price range. Very orderly place, imo.

We have a poster that owns 27 homes - maybe he'll rent one of them to you?
