I couldn't believe they were laughing through the movie...it was really emotional...especially since I served.
They were being jerks. Sometimes jerks pay a price for their behavior.

Yes, and only the witnesses to the event know the answer.

Which is why manners count. Manners are the oil that greases the wheels of a civilized society. When conditions are at their worst, manners are needed most. Now, more than ever.

I nominate this the most sensible post of the thread.

Is there one? I would love to know the possible scenario, where the LEO left and came back, didn't change seats then shot an unarmed person in a movie theater with 25 other people sitting by, I can not think of one, maybe a bomb vest.

An inconsiderate person on a cell phone caused the altercation. Ban those in theaters. There is no constitutional right to keep and bear cellphones.

Right. And they wont be talking to the media too soon. The shooter is going to testify his reason for using deadly force. There is never a good reason to use deadly force unless there is a pressing danger that has to be stopped. So far all we know is A shot B and somebody threw some popcorn around. There is more to the story, obviously. We need to let our justice system work through this event and determine what actually took place and what actually caused the need for deadly force to be used.

This has nothing to do with constitutional right to own firearm and FL's laws regarding concealed carry laws. It has to do with what actually took place between these two individuals. That is what is at issue here.

There are over 1 million concealed carry permit holders in the state. There are only a handful of them that used deadly force at any time.

It's random senseless violence that just happened to take place here but could easily have been anywhere. My last outing to the movies here was super nice. We had a large group with a bunch of kids and walked into a near full theater. As we started to split up, a bunch of people were offering to scoot over so we could all sit together. Some had nice seats and moved to the outside for us.
I still like my odds of run ins with nice people here.
