Guess what - it's hot and humid in Florida at times but no worse and often much better than many other areas nearby whose residents don't whine like a kid with a smacked arse the moment the mercury starts rising.

I visit Southern Europe a lot where it often hits over 100 in the summer and people don't complain about the heat - they just accept it as a fact of life and live with it.

If they heard people complaining about this weather they'd fall about laughing at how soft and weak we are and I'm talking about elderly women in their 80s and 90s with no A/C who still live a full and enjoyable life in the summer.
Yes and people live in Qatar and Inuit live in the artic, what do you think they would think about puerile who go to a weather thread and complain about people talking about weather? People have different thresholds, humans are capable of acclimating to most places , but clearly places with temperate climates are more desirable you can see the correlation with that and population numbers.

Well Florida was the 4th most populous state at the last census and is estimated to have moved up to the 3rd most populous now, as we were barely behind 3rd at the last census. So you are right, that does tell you something.

A simply gorgeous morning out there today. I hope everyone gets out to enjoy the 4th of July. Thank you to all those who have served and sacrificed, so we can live in paradise.

You mean people come to Florida because they like the weather
You'd never guess from reading CD.

There are only three people who hate the weather and they are all on CD.

Had two small frogs this morning. Not hating it so much when we have a little twist in the upper levels giving us some lift that brings me rain. Once we are out of the hurricanes fetch and we lose the wrap around effect we will be back to our normal reverse west windflow meaning no rain and 100% sunshine for my house and that my friends is what i really hate. Sure we wish we could get back to the very rare southeast windflow.

We are back to out normal reverse west windflow without any twist in the upper levels. So back to solid sunshine and not a chance of any rain, for me anyways. You lucky peeps more inland have a much better chance. So far this summer we have been in a reverse west windflow by far more than a southeast flow. As i say every summer we see a west flow by far greater than we do a east flow unlike what someone else said.

3/4" this morning. This is awesome near the coast. Our grass is thick, green, lush without using the irrigation system.
