So?

How do you think other metro areas got light rail?

No pain, no gain.

I highly doubt Tampa will see light rail in this century. The costs far outweigh the gain.

Why would we need a new governor? Orlando was able to secure a light rail.

Because Scott rejected Federal Funds of over 2 billion dollars to start a high speed rail from Tampa to Orlando. I guess he thinks there's not enough traffic on the I-4 corridor. NOT!

I am far from a Scott supporter, but other cities were able to get a rail without his blessing. Tampa has no excuses.

No he rejected it because Obama is in office and anything democrat he will reject. Scott would rather the people of Florida pay for light rail before he would accept money from a democrat administration. Instead Michigan and Illinois took that 2 billion to use twords light rail.

There was a huge cost share by the Fla taxpayer that he didn't want to accept. He didn't want Floridians to have the same tax burden that we see the northerners whining about all the time. You're not telling the entire story.
