Anyone have a recommendation for a company to install a cage over a patio slab?

Any idea on cost? Of course we'll get a few estimates, but we're new to FL and the cage-ing concept. The slab we want to cover is 27 x 16 feet and 2 1/2 sides of it are existing exterior house walls (former breezeway).

Thanks for any recommendations!

Pay for an Angie's List subscription and find one there. You'll save the cost of the subscription and be assured that the contractor you use is well rate.

We subscribe to Angies List. Frankly, it's not as good as it used to be. Just like TripAdvisor isn't as honest either.

Over time, businesses have friends, relatives, etc. post glowing reviews, or, and I've witnessed this, customers will ask for a discount IF they promise to post a glowing review.

At least they have names so we'll use that as a base.

Skip Angie's List, I've never had a need to pay for someone's (unprofessional) opinion. It's wild to me that Angie's List still thrives, but some people will pay for peace of mind I suppose.

Ask your neighbors who have similar setups who they used and go from there. Get multiple on-site quotes, ensure they are licensed, and make sure they pull a permit- if they hesitate to do that, walk away.

Annie, thanks for the info.

One cage contractor came by (recommended by a friend of a friend and he had positive reviews on Angies List).

He basically flinched when he saw what the job entailed and declined to bid on it. He explained why it will be a job-from-hell and we see his point (odd alignment of multiple angled roofs, current window placement, you name it). He did say we might get someone else to do it, but that the expense wouldn't justify it and the ultimate result wouldn't be great in terms of looks and overall use of the space.

We are pursuing other options
