We would like some information regarding summer weather in the Citrus Hills area. We read on a web site that the area receives "cooling breezes" from the gulf making it comfortable in the summer. For those who live in the area is that accurate? We are presently researching retirement locations away from Illinois winters. We don't want to trade winter for summer "house arrest." -- Thanks

We retired 4 years ago from Illinois, summers in Illinois aren't that much cooler, in fact last year it was much hotter there over 100 several times. When it gets to be summer it will be hot, but there is always swimming and cold beer to keep you cool.
