Whats it really like living in Holiday Florida? Is the property taxes high there? How is the home owners insurance there?

Taxes are about 1% of the value of your house if I use mine as an example. Look here for what others pay. Insurance can be found if you're east of US 19. West is harder but doable.

My parents live in Holiday where I was raised. Holiday is a small town but very congested with people. Taxes aren't too bad unless you want to build a new home. Impact fee's last year on a new home were $6,000 and the County is trying to or has (not sure) raised them to $10,000. Property insurance is very high in this area. My parents home is about 1600sq feet NOT on the water and they paid over $6,000 a year.

It didn't sound that way from his/her post but he/she wouldn't be the first person around here that didn't know where they live
