Ever since the new law was implemented I have seen a huge difference on the roads...is it just me or have others seen it too.

Less switching of lanes, less people driving like slowpokes and than all of sudden flooring it when the txt message seems to be read of send...

People moving when the light turns green.

I haven't noticed any difference, I see people texting all the time on the road. Maybe I need to start dropping some citizen's arrests. "Excuse me, sir, you were observed driving like a clown and texting for two miles with your turn signal on. That'll be a $250 fine. Oh, and an extra $100 for that ridiculous Salt Life sticker cliche."

um, no I havent seen a difference in driving at all.

OP, do you not realize that this no texting and driving law is a "secondary offense" ??...meaning a cop can't simply pull you over for texting and driving, rather you have to be doing something else wrong...like a "primary offense" first....and THEN if you happen to be texting while committing a primary offense can you be cited for texting. The law is a joke quite frankly.

so if u run a red light and a cop pulls u over for that...and you're texting...they get you.
If you're doing nothing wrong and not violating any traffic laws, but are simply texting...u wont be pulled over and cited.

Maybe it is the route I take that had a change, or perhaps it has to do with the amount of cops on that road daily. Many have gotten this week and I assume these tickets were more for speeding and/or lane changes that some constantly seem to do and especially pushing their cars in the tiniest openings

I didn't either...just today as i was leaving school, this woman is driving through the school zone, driver window open all the way down, with her phone texting....not even looking at the road! I should have taken a photo...

As a motorcycle rider, I despise people who text and drive. When I see them at a stop light or something, I usually blare my horn and then cuss them out. Sick of almost getting killed by Aholes.

@ Algia oh I meant PhotoProIP... You would have fumbled around for your phone while driving to take a picture ?

@ Sportsterjohn I hear what you are saying and agree but must tell you as someone that drives a lot... I often see motorcyclists take unbelievable chances daily driving at very high speeds, cutting people off, and zig zagging in and out of lanes causing other drivers to slam on their brakes so as not to kill them...It goes both ways.

I haven't noticed much difference, and I get around most of the Tampa Bay area for work. Every time I see a driver exhibiting erratic behavior they turn out to be elderly, or as is the case most of the time - some dimwit screwing with a phone.

I haven't noticed a difference, but I have noticed more people moving to the right lane when I'm speeding in the left lane.

Thanks to those of you that have begun doing that.
