Thanks,
Although I thought Fishhawk was beautiful, no way could I justify paying that much for a house in that community. To me, the only way it was worth it was if you were living in walking distance of park square. Other wise, you had to drive everywhere anyway.
Where on LI are you from?

MinnieMom -

We got a Stanford IIc (3 car version).

Here's the crazy thing...we got it sight unseen too. My wife's in-laws checked out the model and said they did a good job. It's also a smaller version of my parents home (except they have at least 1000-1500 more square feet).

I don't know how everyone else feels, but we're used to upstairs bedrooms and "action" downstairs. I know the norm in Florida is single story, but we just don't feel right without two stories. The downstairs master throws us off too.

We'll probably change our minds once we get used to the Florida style houses. The cathedral ceilings in some of the single story houses were really nice.

Yea, so funny - ours is a Stanford II also. But the 2 car. But I think you paid alot more for yours ..
I haven't seen it yeteither. Crazy huh? My husband says he loves it more and more every day. I originally wanted a single story because I have stairs now and was getting tired of them, but the layout of the house was nice and I figured I didn't have to wait 8-10 mos to have a house built.

Ha Ha

Yeah that's what I'm looking around to check out!

Stanford II's start at 278 k in Easton Park. In Covey Run, a Stanford II starts at 218 k. So that's a big difference right there.

Easton Park is divided up into 3 sections depending on lot size. We're in the middle (65' lots), but our lot is over-sized on the cul de sac. It's over 13,000 sf according to the plat (?that's what it's called right?).

PM me if you want a link to pictures of ours...you might like to see what your house looked like as it was being built. Plus we saved Stanford II pictures whenever we came across them in RE listings. We have a pretty solid collection which helps more than only looking at that great marketing photo they have.

At least their new website finally has all the elevations on it.
