Hi everyone! Happy New Year to you all. Can anyone here tell me the best employment websites and agencies and where to look for a job in St Petersburg. I am looking for anything really to get me through while the economy is in this state. I have extensive esl teaching, accounts payable and office experience. I live in NE St. Petersburg and don't have a car so ideally it would be somewhere nearby.

Try WorkNetPinellas here --> Homepage. I heard they're hiring Census Takers. It probably doesn't pay very much, but it might help you until something in your field becomes available. Good luck!

How about temp agencies? They are often a good way to get a job, but you will need a car.

A car is not required for all census jobs and the pay varies by area.

dont know st petersburg but not having a car is a major impediment for any temp work.
if you life in florida cars are major players. how did you rack up all that work experience without a car? a crital element in employment is removing employment barriers 1st.

Can you buy a bike and go to work that way?

Bus maybe?

Look all over the internet for jobs including Monster, Craigs List, and the local papers down there. You might need to settle for a lesser job in the mean time.
