Proximity--One thing I've learned about living here during the past 6 months is that the "Tampa area" is diverse. I am defining the Tampa area as any place that is accessible by car in about an hour. Albeit on a much smaller scale than Miami or Atlanta, Tampa has the urban grit that many people crave. Moderator cut: just one good thing

Tampa International Airport! I live in Vegas now, and really miss the TIA. Good deals to anywhere you want to go, convenient, and so easy to get in and out of (as a traveler and as a pickup person). I travel a great deal and think TIA is one of the best airports ever.
