Whoever you choose, make sure that the agent is willing and able to show you short sales and foreclosure inventory. Since a majority of available properties fall into these categories, you are doing yourself a great disservice if you ignore them.

Hey Canuck76, welcome! I've basically learned what I needed to know to move to Tampa (South Tampa, specifically) from this very forum. While here, I've seen a lot of great posts by a realtor who posts by the name of TampaKaren. Might want to send her a PM.

Not sure about a good realtor. The one we're using is fine. But I do recommend the best real estate site I ever used, tampa4u. Updated immediately, map searches, short sale/forclosure searches. Just about any kind of search you can imagine from the map perspective. Just a great, great site.
