No more counting. We were at Sand Key yesterday afternoon. Caught the high tide. The water temp was fine. Very much enjoyed a couple of hours.
It's worth the 50 mile drive from Spring Hill to Sand Key.

I'll be on the beach after the holiday crowd is gone. I'm past being ready for a good salty soak.

Sand Key is my favorite beach (so far).

Last time we were there the water was nice and warm.

How are the crowds on Memorial weekend? I really want to go, but don't necessarily want to go to a packed beach.

The beaches will be packed Memorial Day, especially Clearwater Beach. It can take 30-60 minutes just to get from Downtown Clearwater to the roundabout at certain times of the day.

OK, I guess I'll bypass the beach until Tuesday or Wednesday!

Not too crowded down at Anna Marie Island/Bradenton Beach today - wasn't too hot either.

I'm gonna have to agree with those of you in favor of the heat. I live in Syracuse, New York, and am looking into relocating to Orlando next year. I can't wait! It snowed on Mother's Day!!! Honest! It doesn't get more ridiculous than that!

Default How ya guys like this heat?

Now that we are stuck in a reverse west wind flow pattern with dew points in the upper 70's and lows near 80 and no rain, are you loving this true hell?

Yes. I walk the mile to and from work each day and I love it.

But seriously? Another heat thread?

What do you expect for June in Florida? This year is no different than any other year. BTW, I'm watching the Tampa Rays play baseball in Texas where the stadium temp may get over 100 degrees.

I've been here in Tampa for nearly a year and have become accustomed to the heat - no problem here. Actually enjoy not having the snowbirds here - and the golf courses green fees cheap.

Bring it on.
