A student wants to learn.
A student knows they have much to learn.
A student trusts the teacher.
A student asks the teacher.
A student knows they know little.
A student is humble.
A student remains open.
A student knows some things, but knows that they know less more.
A student is not emotional.

What other atributes belong to a student?

I think you're asking what attributes should belong to a student or that belong to a good student.

I basically agree with your list for the neophyte delving into a new subject at least, but the profile seems a little too trusting. Not all teachers are to be trusted and should be on probation to an extent until they show themselves not only knowledgeable and articulate and of sound pedagogy, but also, wise.

Alas, when it comes to seeking a guru / teacher of theism (and to a lesser extent, any of the arts) there is really no objective standard to hold them to, other than whatever standards of doctrinal purity an organization they teach under might enforce -- for the simple reason that there is no real way to (dis)prove anything that they say.

This is about the heart of the student, remember.

Note: a separate thread is very welcome on teachers....

My thinking is not many have posted because they don't understand
the beauty of being a student...probably don't consider themselves a student.
I will always be a student.
There will always be a hunger for the Truth.
I sure know how vast God is...and have a small clur how little I know.

When someone here comes up with an unconventional idea...I luv it.
I wonder where it came from and know that for all I know this new idea could be correct!

When I got, even a little, the concept of a Holographic Universe...then and there I thought, "What NEXT!?"
It so blew my mind and gave me even more respect and awe for this Superior Being
That created everything and sustains all eternally...

Default A v. partial list of the focal-point options open to a true student!

Wrong. "The LORD? Which Lord, and which translation, and in what age of reason and logic? Illucidate if you please, perry! Thanks!

That alone would be a very biased and pre-determined sub-set of the universe of all possible teachers. We have, for instance, the following types, each with their own valid and well-rehearsed credentials and energy to show a student.

Students then should choose, without pre-lesson determiners or descriptors or qualifications on spiritual kindness or loving demeanor, etc., and thereby on the students' own volition, to pick up such topics and paradigms for comparative and intellectually honest purposes, or to simply compare and contrast (as my English teacher used to ask us to do with two different literary works...) any of them:

(My official apologies ahead of this long pictorial montage, but you'll get the hang of opening them wih a click and then doing the Control/"W" keystroke set to return them to oblivion!)

and finally but by no means the end-all...):

Enjoy your new-found deeply felt and obviously "Correct! I swear!" spiritual focal point!

Or, if I'm right, the utter implausibility and contemptibility of any of these artificial paradigms, let alone a street mob scene of several of them all milling about and demanding for your "student mind's" attention, will soon enough prove up their falseness especially when compared to a simple logical, deductive analysis.

Remember now, Christianity is officially rapidly failing all over the world, only to be replaced (for now) with that religion of the illiterate seething masses, Islam. Esp. fundy Islam, which is not only nutty, but it's inherently culturally dangerous. Lucky us, to now have to endure that stain and social disease for the next, oh 50 - 100 years, until we likely have to remove that spurious social blight!

(Oh... ooooops! Oh well, there they go, huh? No more suicide bombers!)

Hang in there, fellow students, and NEVER top learning! It can only help yah!

That they have a heart for the Lord, is that better, manderly, a person who ends his sentences with a preposition. Like my dad use to tell me it is behind the "at" in this case it is behind the "of", thank you.

I simply didn't understand what you wrote. I thought maybe that meant something.

But again, which lord are you referring to?
