Working with international students is SO much easier and more fun than working with those sassy American students! It's given me a much better perspective of teaching all around. I feel like I know how to walk in and conquer the classroom. I also have an idea of how teaching really feels, and I like it now. Oddly, I think this boost of confidence has also helped me with my part time job, substitute teaching, a bit. I was able to have decent control in a classroom today, and I'm happy about that. Last year I was at that school, and things were awful.
