Hello to all! My daughter and I spent 2 weeks travelling your beautiful state (2000+ miles ) and we feel as if it's calling us "home". I've taught in Ca for 13 years and will be looking for a teaching position when we move. I'm credentialed K-12, self contained. I've taught mostly 2nd and Kindergarten as well as 2 years in 6th. We have 2 children that will start middle school. Of course, I will want them to attend solid schools. Can anyone that has transferred from out of state into the TN teaching field direct me in where to start? Can those who have been teaching in TN give hints about the job hiring process? When do interviews start? Job Fairs? Areas of growth? We will visiting Nov. 28-Dec 3 and looking to relocate to places North of Nashville east to Cookeville or a little East. We also want to look in Mufreesboro.

Any and all help is appreciated! We can't wait until our visit!!!

out-of-state Licensing

Murfreesboro City Schools

Rutherford County Schools

Most places probably won't start mass interviewing until April when teachers have to inform administration if they will be leaving.

Default murfreesboro tn

I have been living in Murfreesboro, Tn for 30+ years. It is growing so fast, since you are interested in teaching, there are so many new schools opening up and therefore teaching positions are available. This is a very good place to live and excellent to raise children. Moderator cut: realtor advertising not allowed
