Yeah, I didn't realize that I was living with two illegal immigrant cats. I guess the border check was slacking the day we drove up from Florida with them.

You're supposed to register/license your pet with the city/county, and that's where those documents are supposed to be checked.

Me too. Been here over 40 years and have had sooo many pets in those years. Never even known anyone who licensed their pets. In rural areas we scarcely have any animal control. One can't even get authorities to investigate animal abuse/neglect.

OP you sound like a very responsible pet owner . I would not worry about a health certificate.

GA is my front yard with archaic laws like this and TN is in my backyard. GA requires all animals to have rabies vac and tags. Health certs that we used to carry with us when we travelled have gone by the wayside - everything is electronic now. A Coggins test for equine; brucellosis for cattle/bison; scrapie for sheep/goats - that I can understand, but the other - naw

I installed a fake gas tank in my truck and stuffed our two cats in it when we escaped from NJ to TN in order to avoid any documentation or crossing the state line issues.

Boy, were they pissed when I finally let them out.

They're over it now.
