Hey everybody, my wife and I just bought a house in Normandy, and will be moving there from California in the next few weeks. Anybody from that area that can give us info on the local area? We made a trip there last month and loved what we saw, but didn't have much time to learn about the area. We're both young retired folks, and plan on lots of exploring. Thanks !

Normandy is a very nice, rural setting. Not much right in that area except some ole historic buildings, beautiful though. However, it is not far from Tullahoma or Shelbyville where some minor shopping and a lot of chain restaurants exist. However, you're only about 50 miles from Huntsville Ala, 70 miles from each Nashville and Chattanooga where all the big town amenities are found. Enjoy the beautiful, relaxed settings in Normandy and you're not far for everything.. I lived in the area for several years but am now in Atlanta...
