Hello All,
My wife had an interview in Nashville and I have an interview in Johnson City next week. My question is over these areas: Clarksville, Murfreesboro, Hendersonville, and Johnson City.
We have 1 kid who will be starting school soon. Crime and safety is an issue. We would look to buy a house 100-200,000. I want to hear about only these areas. SELL ME ON THE AREAS. If you need anymore info just ask.
Thanks

Johnson City is about a 4-5 hour drive from Nashville.

Are you trying to choose between Middle and East Tennessee????

Yes I am aware that there is a drive. I was saying I had an interview in JC, and my wife had one in NSH. We have been out of work for about a year now so we applied everywhere. She got a call then I got a call.

Hey, we really don't want to sell you on our area. Our growth is enough as it is and to be honest, I have a full time job. I'm not paid by the city to try to get you to relocate here.

If you have any specific questions, we'll be happy to help you on those.

Both areas offer great choices to raise kids. I'd take the one that pays the most then the other spouse can find something in the same area. If all things are equal, I'd take the one in Nashville. Finding employment will be a little easier around Nashville than in JC.

My wife did seem like she really liked the Nashville area when she came back. I personally have never been, but she said that I would like it. In that case, those areas in Nashville that I have listed (Clarksville, Hendersonville, and Murfreesboro) which one would you think has the best school system, lowest crime, and most to do for a 5 yr old?

Family Circle Magazine rated Hendersonville among the top 10 cities for families in the US last year. It's an excellent place to live with good schools, beautiful lakeside parks, shopping, restaurants, and a short commute to Nashville.
