Default Any lakes in TN that don't end up mud?

Seems like most of the lakes in eastern TN drop significantly by late summer. Are there any that stay relatively full in east TN?

Default Winter River drain ??

PJ. Not real sure of your question ? Last summer was dry / below rainfall average, farming crop poor and lots of Creeks low or dry ?
The Lakes of the Tenn River are Drained down about 6 or 7 feet over the WINTER months by TVA. Homeowners work on their seaWalls, pour more boat ramps, clean downed trees, etc,.
Dont know of any single lakes that dry up in summer months.?
Again River water of TVA goes down maybe Oct. Real Estate prices / listing call DEEP water channel more expensive then Coves or Shallow water lots.

Nope. At least not around the edges and creek ways (new phrase?). They are mostly all controlled by dams that are run by the TVA. They lower the lakes in the fall so the rain and snow (mostly melt off from the mountain areas) don't flood out any neighborhoods and road ways through out the "wet" times of the year.
Out of the ones in North East TN, I believe Douglas has the highest water level even when the dams are closed.

Dale Hollow lake in Middle to East Tn stays in good shape all summer. Might go down a couple of feet if it's real dry.

Default Dale Hollow Lake

T: There are quite a few web links for fishing, receration , vacation even scuba diving. So it seems this KY-Tn water or resovior is popular. I dont believe there are many homes around shoreline.
Lots of fishing guide services, even Stripped Bass or RockFish. Enjoy ,deep cold lake, but have had numerous boating drownings not wearing life jackets.

I used to take Boy Scouts camping, hiking, and canoeing around Dale Hollow, and yes it's true. The water is much clearer than other lakes such as Center Hill. It's a beautiful lake.

Watts Bar Lake is awesome for boating year round. the lake stays practically full all winter-when other lakes are being drained. they may loose up to 4 feet, but that is nothing, compared to some of the surrounding lakes around Knoxville, where they loose so much water, the docks are on stilts sitting in mud, and the water is way out. Grande Vista bay lots are awesome- west of Kingston, Tn, which is by Knoxville area. they still have some lots left. I was there today. gorgeous homes, great views, clubhouse, pool, horses, boat ramps, etc.

Fort Patrick Henry Dam on the south side of Kingsport is a coordinated power generation dam, not for flood control, and the reservoir level fluctuates 3-4 feet several times a day depending upon generation schedules with Boone Dam upstream. Otherwise, it remains at essentially full pool level year round. I know of only twice since it was filled in 1954 that the lake was lowered for maintenance at the dam.

Lake lots on Patrick Henry have been much sought after since they don't provide a six month mud view. Warriors Path State Park is located on this lake. It is one of the smallest lakes in the system.
