Greetings all you southerners! We are leaving the frozen tundra and heading for Florida for Easter week. However, we will be staying in Tennessee for 2 days in the Knoxville/Maryville area 'cause we are yearning for the day we can move there. We have 3 boys ages 6-11 yrs. Any suggestions of parks, fun activites, sites or hotels you may recommend? We are especially interested in Maryville. Can't wait!

Dollywood will be open then. I would take them to Dollywood. Take a ride around Cade's Cove, too. The trees are now flowering and it is a beautiful time to visit. It's not crowded at the cove this time of year.

I hope you have a lot of fun!

Cades Cove sounds great. We were on Vacation a few years ago with my brother and his family. We split up for the day and that's where they went. They made the better choice and also highly recommeded it! Thanks for reminding me! The whole idea of trees flowering as we speak is blowing me away! We still have small pockets of snow. Some green is starting to poke thru the ground, but nothing on the trees yet!

I also say Cades Cove, and maybe the NewFound Gap drive.

Now that's one I have not heard of yet. I'll google it, but it sounds nice. My worry is running out of time to all we want in two days!
