Is Padre Island still a popular place for spring break? I just moved to Denton and wanted to know where the people who are 22-24 go? Do they go to SPI or do they go to Florida?

They go to both.. SPI does get pretty crowded in March and into April. As for the 22 to 24 crowd I guess you could easily blend in with the slightly younger crowd who are usually 18-21. I would venture to say that SPI got around 100k visitors during spring break this year..

Here is a page for next year

South Padre Island had one of the best years for spring break this past year than they had in something like the past 5 years. Less people are going to Mexican resorts due to media reports of violence. Age doesn't matter either. Spring break on padre is just one huge insane party.
