I guess it depends on what you're used to, LOL! It was indeed horrible.

But my experiences in East Texas weren't a whole lot better. I had family in Kirbyville/Jasper.....and spent time there.

When you're a native West Texas desert rat, just about anything in ET is going to feel like a jungle! My family there didn't like it, either, and counted the days until they could leave. The overwhelming tree cover, vegetation and humidity were all factors.

To each his/her own. Thank God that not everybody likes the same type of climate! I was never able to acclimate, even after 6 months.

East Texas is gorgeous--but it's more gorgeous to me when I can go through with my AC on and my windows up.

Yep, I'm a real wuss when it comes to humidity!
