What ambulance and EMS companies operate out of West Texas? What area is considered West Texas?

I don't know about private companies, but I believe most cities of any size will have their own ems services as part of their fire departments.

Back in the day, Fort Worth was always said to be where the west began, but really I would say a rough definition of west Texas (not to be confused with West, Texas) would be west of a line from Wichita Falls down to Abilene, to a bit east of San Angelo to the Mexican border.

Mama, it depends.

El Paso is run by the Fire Department, although the county is run by Life Ambulance, a private service.

A few small towns have hospital-based or volunteer, with some private services. Pecos, TX has StatAir, Fort Stockton is a third-service that covers Pecos County, Culberson County (Van Horn) is a private hospital-based service. Lubbock is UMS Ambulance from the hospital, a few third-service and municipal services in Seminole and Brownfield, and has dual-response with LFD. Amarillo is AMR.

Abilene is MetroCare EMS, with a lot of third-services around.

Southern Texas is Acadian, Guardian, and a lot of county and small privates.

What level are you?
