Austin is still changing dramatically in DT & the core, but it won't be as pronounced or 'dramatic' as it was the last 5 with the skyline changes & rail. I'm still very interested & excited to see how different it will be in 5 more years - bigger, denser, more accessible, more amenities etc. But I don't see any dramatic changes on the horizon.

However I voted Houston, based on the same things that have been discussed ad nauseum on recent threads. It's changed since I lived there and sounds like it will continue. Stadiums and urban rail are 'dramatic' changes. Talk is cheap though, lots of cities have grand plans for urban rail, the execution of it will determine its success.

Most of things you have listed for Dallas look good for the city. The only thing I have a problem with is Dallas marketing this new addition to the State Fair as a the tallest "ride" in the world. Like it's some kind of roller coaster or something. I'm sure it will be fun to go to the top and back down again (maybe once, and will probably be filled with senior citizens) but they need to call it what it is, an "observation tower."
You are right...I didn't ask "and why" but since people volunteered the reasons why they chose the city they chose...i decided to do it as well.

And I think they're calling it a ride because it does spin once you reach the top. The Texas Star(Ferris Wheel) is basically used as an observation tool;and it is also refered to as a "Ride"....idk

Austin is a nice town or at least it can be if the lakes fill back up

Last time in Austin at the Oasis, the view was disappointing as the lake was so empty, the view was completely different from what I remembered and liked about Austin. Not much else in Austin interests me, its a nice town but not a city to me. I prefer San Antonio

well it is a little more than talk right now. I think Trae posted pics of the actual rail lines under construiction (three of them heading out of DT in three different directions and the "talk" is for the 4th one from UH Central to Hillcroft threw Greenway and Uptown.

Anyway I don't think anyone has a doubt which one I picked.

Houston recently got

I know that. Was not talking to you. I replied to the poster showing that its not just talk for DTH. Just showing you what has been going and then I posted a link showing what are the plans for the future. Just showing that things are going on.

Is there a reason why you don't want these things to come to light????
