Working in New Mexico and living in Texas..... Anyone know how the State Taxes and all that work? Do we pay then file at the end of the year and get it back or what?

Default Taxes

If New Mexico has a state income tax, then you will pay income tax for that state. If so, your employer is probably already withholding some of your wages. Living in Texas, there is no state income tax; however, if you have a house in Texas then you will pay property taxes. Best bet is to live AND work in Texas...that way you pay only property taxes.
