Which Texas cities have the lowest home prices, as well as the lowest housing taxes?

My guess would be the Rio Grande Valley, Harlingen, Brownsville, McAllen, possibly even the Corpus Christie area.

This is true but, the taxes are high. I would still recommend SA as a great investment, property values will only continue to increase.

As said before, the rio grande valley. McAllen and Harlingen are nice towns, by the way. Austin is the most expensive, but the house market there is soaring, so you might want to consider that.
