Cruz is a minority. If you, as a liberal, had anything positive to say then he would not be good for the republican party.

This made me laugh. Please do explain why Ted Cruz did so poorly among Hispanic voters in Texas. Also explain why Texas is slowly moving to the center.

Texas is slowly moving to the center because of all the transplants that come here for jobs.

As more liberal people move in (and bash the general conservatism while they're here enjoying the greater opportunities), that is probably what will happen, much to Texas' detriment.

I hope I'm long dead and gone before it gets too liberal. I should be....thank God.

But you act as if those who are Texas natives aren't shifting as well. Because they are. Urbanization is a factor as well.

Looking back over the past 20 years Texas has not moved to the center. If anything it has become
more conservative. Even the Demoncrats have leaned farther right just to get elected. Ted Cruz is
a good man who is not afraid to take a stand and that just bugs the hell out of panty-waist liberals.

I'm not so sure that's true about several-generation natives. It might be more true for young FIRST-generation natives, but that's just a guess. If that's happening, it's hopefully going to be glacially slow.

Urbanization is happening on a large scale in Texas, with the larger cites just growing by leaps and bounds.

Thank God I'm moving back to a very small rural area, where conservatism is going to be the norm more than not, even with the oddballs thrown in.
