AS for tall of the no humidity comments....they make me laugh! There's plenty of humidity here...the locals have no idea what DRY is! This isn't a desert by any means! Only 15" of rain! Pfffft! Try 3-4"/year!

Then again I've lived in REAL deserts and truly dry areas!
Denver, Las Vegas, El Paso & Yuma AZ....to me this place is a jungle!
Sure Midland/Odessa isn't devoid of humidity. This thread isn't about which is the worst place for humidity. It's about someone moving from the Coastal North East to Midland/Odessa. Something tells me, what ever little humidity found in Midland/Odessa, it's going to fail in comparison to the East Coast.

Thanks SVTRay!

I did some research in ISP. There is a company called Grande which seems to provide faster connection than ATT Uverse. Anyone has experience with Grande? Comcast actually has the best introductory package right now. We didn't like comcast service in MA. Anyone had good or bad experience with Comcast?

Also we will be looking for a new bank or credit union in Odessa? Any suggestions? I would prefer the bank/cu to have a phone app. Interest rate is not so important so no one is paying much interests now anyways.

Thanks

Grande is good but it wasn't offered in our old neighborhood nor my mother's back when we still lived in Midland a couple years ago. The only options for us was Direct TV, Cox communication, and ATT Uverse. ATT was the better hands down. Heck, I would love to have ATT Uverse right now. We had it in our downtown Dallas apartment but we can't get it at our new home...although the folks 2 houses down can We're stuck with some no name crap service that I have to reboot the internet almost daily and DVRs that can only record 2 stations at a time.

Anyhow, we used and loved My Community Credit Union in Midland and I believe they recently opened a location in Odessa. I highly recommend them.

I moved from Midland in 2007, so it's been awhile, but I had Grande (cable TV/internet) in Midland for a few years. I liked it very much--and outtages were rare.

I love Odessa. But the shortage in housing is ridiculous. Buildup between the two cities dummies! If you want mild weather, look into El Paso and Galveston.
