Great news for Fort Worth! That side of the 'plex has been under retailed for far too long. The DFW area has a large enough population to support these additional stores. This is very much like the Domain in Austin.

Major Changes on Houston’s Shopping Scene: Wave of New Stores is Making a Super Impact
Major Changes on Houston's Shopping Scene: Wave of New Stores is Making a Super Impact - PaperCity Magazine

"Houston’s fashion and design community is making its mark on Super Bowl LI with LAUNCH, an exclusive pop-up shop taking over the ground floor of Partnership Tower (701 Avenida De Las Americas.).

At the helm of the endeavor — PR firm Squid Inc.’s Sydney Dao (sister to fashion designer and Project Runway season two winner Chloe Dao); and Houston First Corporation, which manages some of the city’s premier convention and art institutions including Hilton Americas-Houston and George R. Brown Convention Center.

The pop-up will feature nearly 15 local designers and artisans including Chloe Dao, fashion illustrator RongRong Devoe, clothing line Onyii, fair-trade accessories line La Mochi, and jewelry line Temple Street. LAUNCH runs through Saturday, February 26.

NYX Cosmetics debuts its Galleria boutique this spring. The professional makeup and beauty retailer also launched its first Houston-area location in The Woodlands Mall last week.

The Heights Mercantile development (741 Yale Street) welcomes three new-to-the-market boutiques this summer — San Francisco-based Marine Layer known for its absurdly soft basics; upscale contemporary women’s boutique Saint Lo, owned by Houston residents Lindsay and Skye Vila; and Dallas-based shop The Gypsy Wagon. Owner Carley Seale stocks whimsical apparel alongside handmade jewels, accessories, and apothecary.

Previously home to Saks Fifth Avenue, the Galleria’s new 110,000-square-foot Galleria VI wing is now open. The concourse allows straight-through access to Saks’ new location, which debuted in April, and will soon house 35 new retailers and restaurants including Nobu, Fig & Olive, Ted Baker, Massimo Duti, and Loro Piano.

Australian skincare brand Aesop will open its first Houston brick-and-mortar location on Montrose later this year. Look for plant-based skin, hair, and body products including parsley-seed cleansers and sage and cedar scalp treatment.

German-based kitchen designer Leicht takes over the former Relish Fine Foods space at 3951 San Felipe Street on Monday, January 30.

Luxury custom clothier Established Bespoke ditches its West University digs for a new location at The Jones on Main (708 and 712 Main Street), the building which once housed the original Sakowitz Department Store. Specializing in custom men’s suits, expert tailoring, and ready-to-wear collections, Established Bespoke will open early this year.

J. McLaughlin has opened its second Houston location in Town and Country Village at 600 West Sam Houston Parkway North.

Sisters Jacy Cooper and Kady Smalley debut luxury boutique Sette at 2606 Westheimer Road in Avalon Shopping Center near Avalon Diner, stocking designers Giorgio Brato, Halleh jewelry, Calleen Cordero, laFortuna, Spitfire sunglasses, and Beth Orduna jewelry.

Luxury floatation center Mizu Integrative Medicine Center + Float Center has opened at 5161 San Felipe. Recharge in one of the facility’s state-of-the-art flotation pods, a favorite of superstar athletes J.J Watt and Stephen Curry.

Thomas Markle Jewelers unveils a new Rolex boutique in its Woodlands location stationed at 9595 Six Pines Drive.

Cynthia Ann Jewels has opened at 3433 West Alabama Street, stocking Cynthia Ann’s collection of ancient and vintage jewels alongside designers including Erica Courtney, Lisa Nik, and Swedish brand Odd Molly.

TB3 Home has opened a showroom at 2803 Westheimer, with apartment-sized, mid-century modern reproduction furniture. The inventory, housed in a Midtown warehouse, is available for same-day delivery..."
