Lol.. You've got an interesting opinion... You do realize the traffic is worse in Austin than in Houston or Dallas.. Right? As for how nice the people are, I guess that's subjective but I would say Houstonians are easily the friendliest of the 3 cities in question, so I'm not sure how you came to that conclusion..?

I was just basing that on interstate traffic and not off-interstate roads. I am not too sure about that so can't give a valid opinion. It was most assuredly extremely awful in Houston to get from one end to the next. It took me a lot less time to get through Austin traffic on a Saturday afternoon than it did in Houston just one weekend later and that is because it is just plain smaller in size and not as spread out just because of the sheer population difference. The population difference is ginormous. The friendly factor is definitely subjective. I know a lot more people from Austin than I do Houston or Dallas. They have all been really nice and friendly. The Houston and Dallas folks--not so much. But like you said...it's all subjective. So opinions are opinions and that is all we can give. :-)

Houston's traffic made me pop quite a few Advil from the massive headache i had after driving through it on a Saturday afternoon. Dallas is a bit better than Houston and the people a little friendlier. The friends I have from Austin rarely go to the bars/clubs but they are in their 30's. I have no idea what the 20 somethings are doing anymore. College kids will always go to bars on the weekends no matter what city so that is no surprise.

The claim going around is Austin is more liberal and attract the type of crowd into partying, night life like bars ,night clubs and such.

Well Houston probably more liberal than Dallas and Fort Forth but not as liberal like Austin.

southerners are not into alcohol and partying like northerners are.

Well one is the 4th largest city in the US and counting and the other is the 11th.. so do you expect traffic to be similar?
