So on the form (50-114) it states that the deadline for filing the form is April 30th of the year you are filing for exemption, which I've obviously missed. However, in the FAQ section, it states that you can file for the exemption up to one year after the delinquency date (which by my understanding is February 1st, 2017, giving me till the end of January in 2018 to file for this year) which seems to contradict the date provided on the form. So did I miss the deadline or can I still file? Why the conflicting information?

You did miss the deadline however you can still file and they should process it on an exception basis
