Lulz, you're joking.. Right?

Agreed with those who said Texas higher education is lacking. UT is respected as the premier public university of the state, but Rice is the closest thing Texas has to Harvard.

How can Harvard be the best school in the world? It only accepts rich kids and the most disadvantaged. Harvard is an old world school. It existed even before a new nation was established of, by, and for the people. It is a private school of training and not of Soctratic learning. Rich kids are being trained at Harvard to take the place of their parents in how to suppress and milk society. As Harvard is the type of school that existed before Socrates, the University of Texas fits the model of what came out of the ancient philosopher. Read in Plato's dialogue Meno about Socrates's theory called 'Recollection.'

Outside of the state, its not really in the same league as other flagship universities. Texas A&M fares even worse. Its not even on the radar when people discuss top universities nationally.
My argument is that those who determine the rankings don't know diddle from squat. Thank the Lord that I took Philosophy at the University of Houston. If I had taken it at Harvard, I wouldn't have gotten my money's worth.

If you believe that, you obviously know nothing about Harvard.

If you had taken it at Harvard, you probably would have paid less than UH.

Socrates in the dialogue Meno helped the mind of a slave to learn and advance. That was very dangerous thinking. In contrast, Aristotle reverted back to training Alexander the Great as an offspring of the elite to take his rightful position over society. Public schools like the Universty of Texas came out of Socrates.

Wrong. 60 percent of Harvard students receive financial aid. If you think not being able to afford $70K a year makes one among the most disadvantaged, you don't know much about the economics of this country, let alone Harvard.

Typical Texan mindset. There's a reason California crushes it when it comes to higher education.

Is your reading comprehension that bad or are you just getting your jollies yet again with another handle? I said that Rice is on the level of Harvey Mudd not Caltech. That means neither are on Cal Tech's level. How did you gather any of what you said from my posts? Other than of course your just trying to get a rise out of us again.

I misread your post. Thought it said or instead of not. Sorry.
