The Catholic Church was the heart of the Westphalia community.

This is terrible. My husband and I stopped and visited this church on our way to Austin a few years ago. It was beautiful. What a tragic loss for that area.

Interesting. I really hope this isn't arson.

Sad on both accounts.

Years ago I spoke with an FBI agent who was at that time investigating some of the church fires in Tennessee. At that time the agent had an opinion and voiced it to me but I'll see this agent this weekend and I'll ask them what they now think.

Different state, different times so who knows? If it was arson in the Texas fires, it certainly sounds like a disgruntled individual.
