No, but it's not in the 50-100k range. And that's just municipal population, not even counting the areas in the Tyler metro area which aren't part of the city of Tyler.

Did not say Tyler. But the Census estimate for Tyler as of July 1, 2008 that came out this month was UP to 97,705 from July 1, 2007 96,018. Now metro is 201,277 which is Smith County only. I had in mind maybe like, Victoria, 62,258 as of July 1, 2008. It is not attached to any large area like Houston, DFW, Corpus, S.A. Austin, El Paso. This is what I thought the original foster was referring too. Not the Frisco's, Mchinney's, even Denton, Sugar Land, etc. Now, what are three others? I'll let someone else contribute by checking the census site just for fun.

I've never been to Tyler or Longview but I have been to Victoria and I lived in San Angelo for a short while. I can't really choose between cities I've never been to, so I'd say between Victoria and San Angelo, I prefer San Angelo.

You shouldn't count Killeen anyway because Killeen has over 116,000 people by itself. I like Victoria because of the proximity to Houston and I like the charm of Tyler. I right now could not live in any city. But I pick Tyler.
