Biden in 2021 is not a moderate, his platform is very left of center.

Please. Do you want to pay $4000 a month to winterize the power grid for a disaster that happens once every 50 years. I thought not. As I said in another thread, I have solar panels, a gasoline run home electric generator, a freeze proof 3000 gallon water cistern, and a propane tank full of propane in my shed. You do the same.

And still, several white tail dear and other smaller animals froze to death on my property. Weather happens.

California is on one extreme of the scale, Texas is on the other exterme... what is needed is to be in the middle. Extremes are never good. One needs a balance of both sides.

I’m going to address something. For all speaking on we want Texas to be moderate not far left, I’m pretty sure that most of us agree on that. While the Texas population is fairly moderate, the Government officials we elect are far right. And there are still many far right individuals here. The liberal agenda has a lot more problems than just regulating too much. But we have to act fast over here to fix lots of the issues caused by this stubborn far right agenda. People have to stop crying because there will be a slight tax increase that many times won’t even affect them in the first place. What’s all this nonsense about wanting firefighters to get raises but not wanting to pay it themselves. So the money has to come from somewhere and all this wanting the government to pay for all this without raising a dime in taxes makes no sense. That mentality Hass to be fixed. No one wants Texas to be California or very few people do. But these non-cents ideas need to go people need a reality check. You can’t have your cake and eat it too. If you want better things you are going to need to spend more money that’s just how it is

Delusional post. The Houston Chronicle had an article last year about the progress Democrat controlled Houston and Harris County have made with flood control projects since Harvey. Houston has fixed TWO homes since Harvey. County hasn’t completed any projects. These are the leaders you think should be in charge.

They have been digging a hole since 1935 and now the hole has collapsed. It must be someone’s fault

Find the article and post it. Frankly, I don’t believe you.

I live in Willowbend and have seen first hand the progress since Harvey.

I dont want California but what weve been doing obviously didnt work. We need to get to the point where we dont elect huge morons (Patrick or Perry), crooks (Paxton), and scumbags (Cruz) just because they have an R next to their name.

I dont take issue with people like Abbott, Cornyn, or Dan Crenshaw, but the requirements to win a state wide office are zero if youre a Republican. That has to change.
One crooked party in Texas was fine for democrats for over a hundred years, so let the republicans finish their century in 2090.
