I always wondered why the speed limit on I-45 is 65MPH until you get to New Waverly where all of a sudden it goes up to 75MPH
Based on this BS logic, there's no pollution on the loop by the Galleria since everybody has to do 5MPH

It sounds like the majority of you would oppose more frequent or ubiquitous enforcement of speed limits by DPS or other agencies then.

In contrast, perhaps there is more support for enforcement of distracted driving laws, to the extent that such laws exist (I don't know what their current status is, since past efforts to do a texting ban were vetoed).

Also wouldn't mind if they started ticketing left lane slow pokes more.

I support improving the sh Ty entrance/exit ramps that we have all around the city and create traffic

Or you think is just a coincidence that one of the places with most wreck is where I-45 does an “S” and there’s several entrance/exit ramp at the end of Hardy toll road

I think Texas should use braided ramps and limited access feeder lanes (see I-85 between GA316 & Lawrenceville Suawnee Rd in Gwinnett Co GA.) … it would do a lot better at mitigating entrance and exit traffic without weeving.

There's a reason that speed limits are lightly enforced in Texas.

Why should the risk of voter blowback hinder speed enforcement? Texans are supposed to respect the rule of law.

Sorry for being the troublemaker that always has to ask questions
If 65MPH is the cap ... why is it that the speed limit on the Grand Parkway is 70MPH?

A New Section Of The Grand Parkway Is Now Open To Traffic - Feb 2016

The new segments will be free to drive until February 15, when tolls go into effect. The Grand Parkway is all-electronic tolling so that means you’ll need a toll tag to use it.
The speed limit is 70 MPH.
