Regarding the illegal border crossings. (Houston: how much, public schools, universities)

First off, I'll readily admit that I do not live in Texas, so I'm not totally familiar with how the system works there. But I do have a question, and if it's been answered before, please understand that I haven't heard it discussed.

Having said that, I see the video on the news, showing people, literally, walking across the Rio Grande River, and illegally entering the US. In other words, the river, at least in places, is not very deep. Pardon my overly simple observation, but why doesn't the Government simply dredge the river, so it's more than waist deep, from one end to the other?

Is there something I'm overlooking, here?

The problem with that thought is all Democrat administrations do not want to stop illegals from pouring into our country. Just stop and think logically about the whole situation for a moment. The Democrat administrations allow as many illegals as possible to pack those states that are traditional are Red. Where did they fly all the illegals in the middle of the night? It wasn't to Blue Democratic held states. Why do they so stongly oppose voter ID? Because it would eliminate illegals from voting. Research how Socialism and Communism take countries over. Here are just a quick rundown of the playbook according to history. Entice votes by giving handouts to gain dependance upon government, Ok check we have done that. Take over media to spread propaganda and gaslight the public. Check that one. Make a department of the government to take over the education system. Check that one as well. Erase and do not teach your countries history. Done that one as well. Demonize historical figures responsible for the founding of your country. Check. Dumb down two consecutive generations with mass propaganda and indoctrination in public schools and universities. done that one also. Beak down public law and order and demonize those who oppose you. Check. Promote social unrest and perverse lifestyles, Check. Convience the usefull idiots that your country is evil and that they have the answer for all the problems just as Vladimir Lenin and Adolf Hitler did. Sound Familar? Check that one as well. Make sure the last two generations isn't educated about the historical consequences of Socialism. Check as well. Put in place as many corrupt individuals in government institutions as possible. Check that one for sure. Gain control over your countries legal and government law enforcemet systems. Check. Gain power by any means with the support of the Media, the usefull idiots, wealthy elites and voter fraud. Check. Publidly state your opponents are a danger to freedom. Check. Start making tyrannical laws reguardless of support and constitutional rights. Check. Finally, a complete take over of all government institutions. Start removing opposition by any means necessary. When complete power is achieved remove those usefull idiots who helped you gain power, they are no longer needed and are a nuisance.

Why dredge it/make it deeper ? The current administration allows them to cross and welcomes them with open arms. Regardless, as stated even it it was deeper, they would float across.

Sounds like exactly what they're doing!

With respect to dredging 1250 miles of river, A) i didn't realize the river was that long, therefore why I was asking about it; B) even though it would be expensive, I'm still pretty sure that the cost would be less than what supporting the invaders is costing; C) Yeah, I understand the problem of "floaters", but I would think that a deeper river would still discourage a fair number of them.

The wall is cheaper. Don't see this Dem administration trying to make that more of an obstacle. Obviously this or any other Dem administration wants to impede illegal border crossings. Instead they encourage it for anybody from any country. There's no telling how many terrorists they have allowed into our country mingled in with the crowded masses!

Being a Christian nation, we ask ourselves "what would Jesus do?"
