We plan on checking out San Antonio area when we come down. Want to try and hit Corpus Christi/Port A, Houston and some outlyng areas like Sugar Land and Katy, then head towards San Antonio. San Marcos was actually on my list looks like a nice town too. Checked some real estate listings in Boerne looks like they have a lot to offer.

We just listed our house here on the market, but the market up here is terrible, but we are getting excited. I dream about the warm weather, especially as I woke up to another 3 inches of snow. I swear every year the winter gets longer!! Guess we can go snowboarding though!

Well, hope everyone has a wonderful Valentine's Day!! You have all been so very helpful, and my entire family truly appreciates it!!

For $500g in Corpus you can easily buy a beautiful house within walking distance of the bayfront, or on the Island, or in Port Aransas. If you want to give me a call before you get here, I'd be happy to talk to you about schools and neighborhoods, etc. I'm not a realtor or anything, it would just be quicker to talk about it by phone. DM me if you like and I'll give you my cell number.

FWIW, another woman and I started talking on C-D about 18 mos. ago when she and her husband were moving here and we're good friends now. Join the party!

We were orignally looking in the Galveston and Corpus Christi areas. Any thoughts??? We are completely open on location just would like to be close to water, beaches or lakes. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
If you want the beaches and whatnot, I'd try Friendswood...It is in Galveston County but closer to Houston that Galveston. It has a good school district from what I understand and is reasonably priced.
