Well, I'll think about that as I am taking a leak on the Lone Star flag tonight.

What, that Texas sucks and is a miserable state? You keep playing the same old broken record of how great you think it is.

Perhaps if you moved to a state with a decent educational system, you'd enjoy a higher level of reading comprehension, too.

Hey wiseguy, what state's education system are you comparing Texas to? Take a look at the Big Urban areas of Texas...most notably Dallas and Houston. Look at the poor performing schools in the DISD and HISD systems. Obviously, wealthy school districts exist with in the Cities...HPISD in Dallas and SBISD in Houston which have higher academic performance...but as far as the main districts in these cities go...they're pretty bad and big city left-leaning types run them. Check out some small backcountry towns (where you will likely have your more conservative types). Crawford, TX, Aledo, TX, and countless others are great examples of high performing small town school districts in Texas. You need to study the data before you make these assumptions about conservatve texas having a poor performing educational system.

You have a broken sarcasm meter.

And I am Texas-certified teacher, so I think I can safely say it's more than just an assumption.

Now, back to burning Lone Star flags.

Maybe you shouldn't be a certified Texas teacher if you want to urinate on the Texas flag. That's a very disrespectful comment. Keep in mind that just because someone is certified, it doesn't make him or her a walking encyclopedia. I know plenty of certified teachers who should find a different way to make a living. Of course, there are many good ones, just like in any career, I guess. Could the poor educational system have anything to do with the quality of teachers? Just wondering.

I agree, I'm no fan of Texas, but talk about burning and urinating on the flag is crude and rude.

I just think things are getting carried away a bit too far here. Everyone needs to just calm down. Play nice kids!

I am simply going to take this as a facetious comment, and hope I am correct.

It doesn't make me a walking encyclopedia, but it does mean that, when I comment on the educational system in Texas, it's more than a mere assumption.

isn't it funny, I make a joke about ripping up the American flag and using the pieces to spit shine refineries, and that goes unnoticed, but talk about the Texas flag, and the house comes down, I guess I just proved my point.
